Hi,
Can anyone advise what is required to replace the AC compressor on a 2005 2 Lt Diesel X Type jaguar.
How is it accessed and what needs to be removed to enable compressor to be replacem.

Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor
Removal
Reclaim the refrigerant. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION.
Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to.
Detach the accessory drivebelt.
Using the special tool, rotate the belt tensioner counter clockwise.
Detach the accessory drivebelt

Disconnect the electrical connector.

NOTE:Seal the tube and the compressor with plugs

Detach the compressor supply and return tubes.
Remove and discard the compressor O-rings.

Remove the compressor.

Installation
NOTE:Install new O-ring seals.

NOTE:Coat the refrigerant line O-ring seals in clean refrigerant oil prior to installation.

NOTE:5oz of oil are contained in the new compressor. The air conditioning system requires a total of 7oz of oil.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Tighten to 25 N.M.
