Truck does not detect the Smart key after replacing the fob battery?

My truck won't detect the smart key even after I changed the fob battery. It doesn't take a key anywhere only the button for start s.

There are some warnings from the manufacturer which pertains to the conditions of the key working or not:

The above function operates when the Intelligent Key is inside the vehicle. However, there may be times when the Intelligent Key cannot be detected. This function does not operate when the Intelligent Key is on the instrument panel or in the glove box. Also, this system sometimes does not operate if the Intelligent Key is in the door pocket of the open door.

The key transmits to the BCM so let's check the fuses that send it power, this guide can help, and I have included the fuses and locations that should be checked.

If the fuses are okay a CAN scan will need to be done to look for stored trouble codes. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.
