Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros. Com.

On engines that are V type (V6 or V8) they have a bank 1 and bank 2. Since your vehicle is a four cylinder, there is no concern because there is only one bank.

The sensor you indicated is a heated oxygen sensor. It is located on the front exhaust pipe. When you open the hood, it will be on the engine side that is facing you. I attached a picture of its location for you.

Here are the specific directions for removal. Picture 2 correlates with removal.

2AR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL
1. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2)
(a)Disconnect the sensor connector.
(b)Using SST, remove the sensor from the front exhaust pipe.
SST: 09224-00010

____________________________

1. INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2)
(a)Using SST, install the sensor to the front exhaust pipe.
SST: 09224-00010
without SST - Torque: 44 Nm (449 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf)
with SST - Torque: 40 Nm (408 kgf-cm, 30 ft-lbf)
HINT:
- Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.8 in.).
- Make sure SST and wrench are connected in a straight line.

(b)Connect the sensor connector.
2. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions.

Take care,
Joe
