I see 2001-2003 engines are compatible, I do not know why the other years are not listed. Using other years could be a simple retro or a endless nightmare. Have you checked for codes in the computer yet?

Was burning oil. Could not get it to pass emissions and I was putting oil into it every two weeks.

Have you checked the plug wires or coil/coil packs? (I have not looked your specific vehicle up to see what it has yet.)

I am thinking since only the cylinders that fire together are sparking and not sparking you might have a problem with the reluctor wheel that goes to the crank sensor.
