This is not a Ford, it is an offroad custom system, with a Condenser roughly 10 feet. From the Compressor, and it has an EVAP which is two feet away.

The compressor came with 4 oz. Of oil, and all components in the system are totally new oil free components.

A year ago, I found a chart showing approx. Amounts of oil to add, and we added 8 additional oz of oil to the system.

Condenser 1 oz
Evap 1 oz
Dryer 2 oz.
24 ft hose 4 oz.

In your opinion, is this too much to add? Thanks for whatever info or links you can share w me.

I would suggest starting with contacting the manufacturer of this vehicle as they should have the exact specs for this.

However, it is hard to know for sure what the proper amount of oil is for a custom system like this.

However, the best thing to do is put the proper amount of oil in for each component as directed, and then I would add 1 oz for the additional length of line.

Once you do this, I would suggest to start checking the pressure and find out if it is in the proper range and once it is then leave it be.

Basically, the pressure is going to tell you if you have too much oil in the system as you will start to get high pressure and then AC will not cool effectively.

Unfortunately, we don't have manuals on these types of vehicles, so it is hard to give you an exact answer, which is why it is best to consult with those that built the vehicle.

Hopefully this helps. Thanks
