Have a 2005 Honda Pilot. A high pitched whisling noise or whining noise seems to be coming from the drive terrain. Took it to a brake shop and the brake person took a ride with me. Said he was 99% sure it wasn't the brakes. Said it sounded like it was probably something to do with the computer or electrical system associated with the brakes. But the noise seems to coincide with the speed of the wheels turning. Also, when I step on the brake peddle, the noise stops, and when I let the brake peddle up, it stars again. Could someone give me a answer out there that own's a 2005 Honda Pilot that has maybe had this problem.

Hi brjordan,

If applying the brakes makes the noise disappears, it should be related with the brake system. There is an indicator for brake pad wear and if it is touching th erotor, it would be a high pitched noise. I would suggest checking the brake pads for wear. Make sure all pads are checked as sometimes there might be uneven war due to brake caliper or slider bolts sticking resulting in more wear on one pad.
