2005 Honda Pilot Noise

I drove the vehicle today and when I parked and turned the engine off the vehicle seem to be still running. What do you think the issue might be?

I believe you're describing what is called "dieseling."
The main causes are: high engine temperatures, high idle speed, excessively lean air/fuel mixture, excessively advanced timing.
