I have a 1996 Honda Odyssey with 102K miles. Recently the ABS light started coming on at times. The local Honda service people said that the accumulator and modulator must be replaced at a cost of $1250. I have asked around and none of the independent shops will touch ABS systems.
The brakes work fine but I don't know if my next inspection will pass if the light is on. Any suggestions?

Most Honda ABS light off/on problems come form dirty sensors on the wheels. They collect metal shavings from brake pads and can be easily cleaned. Find a shop that can read the ABS codes and pinpoint the source of the problem before you spend the $1250.00.

Where have the real mechanics gone!!
