Hi,

I have a 91 Honda Civic DX 1.5L (Stick-Shift) with 188,000 miles.

Problem:
1. The first problem I encountered while driving was when I brake, the car did not stop as it suppose to. Instead the car was only slowing down and the brake pedal slowly goes to the floor. This happend a couple of times when I tried to brake. I drove the car to a parking lot and stepped on the brake pedal a couple of times and was able to get the brake working again.

2. After I pumped the brake pedal several times and got the brake pedal to work, I noticed the brake light from the dashboard turn-on and I was not able to get it turn-off.

Does anyone know what the problem is? Thank you in advanced to answer my question!

First of all the clue should be that the pedal disappeared and you had problems stopping. If you continue to drive the vehicle you are crazy. This car has a failing master cylinder or slave. Please fix it soon!
