My 2000 Honda Civic stalled out on me the other day while driving. The motor sputtered as I was down shifting and the car acted like it had no power and then cut off. The battery is new and I just changed the fuel filter with no luck. The engine turns over but does not fire. Any suggestions

Hi vtskully,

You need to verify whether it is mechanical, electrical or fuel that is causing the problem.

Check for sparks at plugs when crankiing.

Remove air intake hose and pump some starting fluid iinto throttle body and try to start.

Test for fuel pressure at fuel rails.
