The speedometer in my 2000 Honda Civic DX has officially gotten me TWO speeding tickets! It works when it wants to. What's weird is on HOT days (or if I have the heater blasting for awhile) I can flick the odometer stick and the speedometer will jump to whatever speed I am going. Where is the speedometer cable located or what can I do about this headache!

Your vehicle does not use a speedo cable, it is electronically controlled. If you have issues with the speedo and odometer then suspect faulty vehicle speed sensor or faulty speedo / trip meter assembly.

Thanx for the info. I was told that my "speedometer cable" wasn't shot and since it still kind of worked it just needs to be "tightened" haha... oh wow. I'm a chick that (obviously) knows JACK about cars!
