We replaced transmission and inserted the transaxels into transmission. When the car was still on jacks we turned on the car to see if the wheels would turn and they did. We replaced everything drove the car down the block and was fine. Stopped placed in in neutral and then couldn't get the car to to go anymore. It's as if one of the axles wasn't turning. This happened once before when we replaced an axle. Don't know why the axle keeps disengauging?

Hi Larryswine,

With transmission in Park, release the parking brakes and check if you can push the car forward or backwards. If yes, then most probably one of the shaft has dislodged itself.

Either one of the shaft was not fully plugged in resulting in it dislodging itself when vehicle is moving or the clip is weak/missing which would not allow the shaft to be locked in position.

If it is not the shaft problem, check the transmisison fluid level.
