YES I RECENTLY BOUGHT THIS CAR AND WHILE DRIVING IT HOME I SMELT A BURNING SMELL AND IT WOULDNT SHIFT, I NOTICED THAT THE SLAVE CYLINDER ON THE TRANNY WAS SHOT SO I REPLACED IT. BUT IT STILL WONT MOVE. THE SHIFT CABLE SEEMS TO BE EITHER BROKE OR HAS TOO MUCH SLACK IN IT. WHAT DO I DO. IS IT BROKE AND WHERE IS IT LOCETED TO SEE?

If there is a slave cylinder, there is no shift cable. Shift cables belong on automatic transmissions, slave cylinders are one manual transmissions.

If you meant clutch cable. Well, 1993 civics did not come with clutch cables they are a hydraulic clutch system which does use a slave cylinder.

Could you please double check your terminology so I can assist you with your problem.
