Why wont the after cooling fan turn on an
Engine Cooling problem
1997 Honda Accord 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 145000 miles
The cooling fan on my 1997 accord used to turn on after i turned the car off but as of late the fan has stopped turning on it still turns on when driving and doesnt overheat but it just doesnt turn on after i turn the car off like it used to and its still like 110 degrees outside...

The fan would not work each and everytime the engine is turned off. It will depend on the engine operating and ambient temp.
The control thermoswitch is located at the top hose to engine head joint. If it fails, the fan would not operated when the engine is off and temp at head is high.
