1995 Honda Accord 2000 RPM

When i'm driving my accord it make a slight shaking when the rpm's are close to 2000 and no other point.
i've changed the starter distributor cap the rotor and spark were changed not that long ago. I had to change the starter because I waited a long time to change the rotor that was bad. I would start the car and it would hesitate but it wolud start and after so long it stopped. So after I replaced the distrubtor cap and rotor and starter, it started fine and now between 2000 rpms it makes a noise and twice now the car slowly started shut of and the check engine light will come on. What can the problem be?
