I replaced ball joints and rotors on my honda accord. The drivers side cv joint split appart in the boot that is closer to the transmision. The CV joint only has 5K on it. Can I slide the cv joint back together or do I need to buy a whole new one?

Hi Titty2500,

If the boot is not torn, you can slide it back after replenishing the grease and relocking boot with new bands.

If it is torn, you can get a replacement boot and replace. There is no need to replace joint if it is not worn.
