Hello, my transmission leaks intermittently after driving for a while and I am not sure where the leak is coming from! It pretty well dumps all of the oil once hot, it is not a slow leak it just purges the lot. So I was just wondering if this is related to my car getting hot and/or my oil cooler not working. I also want to know is there an overflow hose that would allow this to happen?
Cheers.

Hi there,
This can be a worn torque converter bush, if the oil is coming from the bell housing the bush will be worn to the point that the front seal will no longer hold oil pressure, also check for faulty cooler lines, rear out put shaft seal and pan gasket, the oil cooler lines at the radiator often come loose as well, there is no over flow tube, this will be a seal or gasket problem.
