Hesitation, shakes when coming to a stop

I just bought this car it seems to hesitate when I push gas pedal and shakes when I stop like I have a bubble in my tire but I do not. Loses power when going up hill. What can this be?

What you described can be caused by a few things. The first thing you need to do is check for trouble codes. Your vehicle is equipped with an OBD1 computer system. To get trouble codes from it, follow the attached link. On this year vehicle, there are no tools required.

Once you do this, let me know what you find.
