Driving the vehicle and engine stops; won't restart.
Had the fuel pump checked - not the problem.
I have seen online it can be the Crank Shaft Sensor or possibly the "side impact sensor failing". Can you confirm these can be the possible problems? Can you send me a photo, diagram, or description where I can find these sensors please. I am stranded in Mexico.

Thank you,
Gaylord

I don't have the vehicle here. It's at the mechanic shop. I believe it is a 5.0, standard engine in the 2002 Suburban.
These are some comments posted on the internet.
"Yes I have had the same problem. I read that it might be the crankshaft position sensor which shrinks as it ages making it too short to contact engine. Engine shuts down to protect itself." And
" A sensor in the rear drivers door is bad it shuts off the fuel pump incase of a side impact. Took many hours to find this out its been replaced never happend again ".

Where are these sensors located?
Thank you.
