Seven months ago my gearbox went, heard the clunk noise and couldn't drive in any gear. I took it to the garage and they say I need a new transmission can you help me change it out?

If the transmission needs to be replaced, just make sure you are using a tested unit or a new/remanufacture unit from a good company. These vehicles are normally work vehicles so if it is, the last thing you want is to fix it again because you used a salvage yard unit and it fails on you.

Here are a couple guides that will help with this process. The first is a guide that helps with issues that are common to an auto unit. The next is a process on how to replace one that will give good info on how to do it.

We don't have a manual on this specific vehicle as it is not offered here in the USA but this process is from a similar unit.

Please run through this material and let us know what you find. Thanks
