Yesterday evening I went to deliver some things with my truck (LBZ Duramax) It was dead when I went to start it which can sometimes happen if it sits for over a week. After I got it started all my gauges didn't work, the lock, window, and switches didn't work either. I have 3 icons on the instrument panel (airbag, ABS, battery, and check engine) the last of which is common but not the others. Also, my dome lights were stuck on and would not go off. It was fairly cold out and maybe the sensor in the door was stuck even though I had no trouble with that before, and it was just a coincidence. After driving for a 1 1/2 with the dome lights one and no gauges I got to my destination and shut the truck off, With the truck shut off the dome lights would still not go off, when I started it back up, the RPMs and speedometer came back but everything else remained the same. Any ideas of what is causing this problem?

Hello, I'm Danny.

First thing you should do is scan the truck for the codes you have stored in your trucks computer with the abs, airbag, and check engine light on. Here are a few tutorials showing how to check and retrieve the codes:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/checking-a-service-engine-soon-or-check-engine-light-on-or-flashing

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/can-scan-controller-area-network-easy

Once you perform this get back to us with the code information and we can the properly diagnose these issues. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
