I'm having trouble finding an exact fuel pump replacement in my area. What is the brand and information to the pump used in your video for 1999-2007 Ford Focus fuel replacement on YouTube? The fuel pump I purchased doesn't even have a wire coming out of the top with the plug like the one in your video.

Hello and welcome to 2CarPros.. I can't say that I know for sure which brand pump we used in the video, but it's probably a Motorcraft (Ford's OEM brand). My question to you is, did you buy just a fuel pump? Or did you buy a fuel pump assembly/module? Yes, there's a difference. If you just bought the pump, then you're supposed to pull out the module/assembly, take it apart, and replace the pump that's inside the body. From the stories that I've heard about this, it rarely works for more than a few weeks. Frankly, these things are not designed to be fixed like that. Here's a link to one that would fit your car on Amazon. Double check it, but it should fit. https://www.amazon.com/Premium-Electric-Assembly-2003-2004-I4-2-0L/dp/B075JH1D29/ref=sr_1_16?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1551014139&vehicle=2003-54-679-113--1--5-3401-1202-1-1---20-0&sr=1-16&ymm=2003%3Aford%3Afocus&keywords=fuel+pump

Yes, it's pretty cheap at Amazon. But if you buy from a retail store, where you'll probably pay $150.00 or more, you'll at least get a lifetime warranty and have it the same day.

Keep me posted by replying to this thread. Thanks for using 2CarPros.

That's still not the correct connection for my application. It has a 6 pin connector and a male end for the fuel line. Metal dome on top. I went to my local O'Reilly's and found the correct one finally.

It's interesting to say the least. It might have something to do with the manufacturing date or something like that. Or maybe there's something different about the one that we used in the video. I did find this one on RockAuto: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=7549816&cc=1431750&jsn=454

It appears to be the one that you're talking about. It's listed as being for a 2.3L Focus. though. Either way, if it's a match to what's in there already, then go for it. Keep us posted. We always love finding out what happened in the end.

Got it fixed and running thankfully! Spent a few hours under the car but well worth it! It turns out that there were three different fuel pumps being used within almost a two year span. I replaced it with the exact same pump and replaced the filter too. Fired right up. Thank you for your help!
