Fuel data center not reading correctly after replace fuel pump

Had new fuel pump installed now the fuel gauge and associated information displays 3 gallons although I filled tank. Tried to reset computer by unhooking batteries cables, still recording 3 gallons.

Hello,

The new part sounds like it is defective what brand did you use? I would only install AC Delco. Here is a guide to help walk you through the replacement:
