1996 Cadillac Deville Fuel pump shuts down

1996 Cadillac Deville V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Hi Im having a problem with my 96 deville. Fuel pump was replaced a month ago,changed the electrical connector at fuel pump. When I turn key to on position I hear fuel pump run for 2-3 secs. Starts up fine then after like 2 mins I can hear the fuel pump dieng down then stops and then the car stalls. Right after that, I turn the key to on and cant hear the fuel pump. Let the car sit for about 5 mins and I turn key I hear fuel pump and the car starts fine then stalls again after 2 mins. Thats the problem Im having. scan your codes first, off and warmer on the heater controls at the same time, with your key in the on position. Look in the message center for codes and write them down and post them here

Thats the thing....Im getting no codes at all. The only code I get is rs0038 which is for the air shock compressor. Im thinking it may be a defective pump then again I put my hand on the ignition relay and it was kind of warm. Hmmm! Short somewhere maybe?

Im sorry I said ignition relay. the one thats getting real warm is the inadvertant power relay,not the ignition relay.
