The other day I started my car and moved it ten feet out of the way on my driveway and shut it off. A half hour later I moved it back and found a doormat size puddle of transmission fluid on the ground.
I checked the fluid level and everything was OK. I have been checking for leaks ever since and not a drop.
Any idea what is going on?
Tha transmission has not been serviced in years.
The fluid is nice and red.
Car is running/shifting fine.

I had the same exact thing happen to me on my 2000 Taurus. My car only has 75,000miles. Did you get a response to your question and what did you end up having to do to repair the car?

I never got an answer. I guess it's because I did not give a "donation". The car has been running fine since with no leaks or problems. I'm guessing a leaky gasket resealed itself. I've got 130 thousand on mine and it runs great!
