Suspension problem
1995 Ford Ranger 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 160k miles

im trying to lift my truck. I dont know what I need to do. I just replaced my shocks in the summer. They are skyjacker 7000 hydro. I wanna liff the trucks suspension by 2 inchs. I hear if I change out the coil springs that they will be like a 3 or 4 inch lift to compensate for the settle. Do I need new shocks? Or what is the best way to do it so I dont have to get new shocks.

Contact your schock manufacturor and make sure they cant be used with a vehicle with a 3-4 inch lift over stock.

If they cant the only thing you can really do is get a body lift and put bigger tires on.

You can also get spring mount lifts or 2" springs. Check JC Whitney. Lifting methods each have their own sets of issues so look carefully. It is almost never just the kit, or springs.
