94 Mustang - Electric problem?

94 Ford Mustang (not GT - new engine 1 yr ago - didnt replace everything on install.)

2 days ago the clock started resetting everytime I turn the engine off, no noticable battery cable trouble - not sure what else to check.

I've also been having this royal trouble with the car overheating after about 30-1hr of running around. Usually dies with no real warning and unable to move it unless it sits for an hour. Actually I cant 100% say it's overheating because sometimes it just sputters out and leaves me stuck. The temp gauge doesn't have to even be at half and it can do this. Also does it at night, not even during times that it's hot out.

I have replaced all hoses, radiator twice (got a defective one the first time around), thermostat a few times, and can't remember what else atm.

I'm really at a loss at what to do anymore. It's been doing this for 2 years + now. I've been told by a friend that it might be electrical, another says a fuel injector ( because it acts as if it cant get any fuel and sputters and dies out), been told its a fuel injectory relay? - Not sure - anyways. Havent had the funds to put into the shop and these little trial and error repairs are adding up. If I could get some advice from people who know what they're talking about it would be great, my friends arent helping in that area. Hehe.

Thanks in advance =)

Are there any codes present? If not it seems you have an electrical short. All it costs to fix is time. Check your wires from the tank to the front of the car! When you find the bare one fix it!
