I am changing the rear brakes for the first time on my mustang. But I have run into a problem where the caliper on either side will not compress when using a c-clamp. The fronts were not a problem but the rears won't budge. Are the shot or am I doing something wrong?

Doing something wrong... it uses the calipers as part of the parking brake system and requires a tool (that can be rented from say Autozone or some of the other parts stores) to actually turn the pistons back in their bore.

this will show ho to retract the caliper
