My 95 Mustang smells and blows out smoke, I just had the engine rebuilt, and the oil changed, but now it smells and shows low oil. I haven't even had the car back a week & it is saying low oil. Also the check engine light is on constantly. I did have the cats removed so can this be causing the light to stay on? They said I need a smog pipe, when they cut the ctas, what does all this mean? I seem to be putting money into the car constantly. Thank you.

I dont know who as a repair shop would remove converters, all 50 states now require by law that to be street lagal, it needs the exhaust as built! Second, if the oil is burning as fast as 1 week, you need to have it check/fixed right, was this a rebuilt or used?If the shop rebuilt it, either the rings, or valves werent done right, a compression test will reveal which!
