Mustang GT - makes humming noise when accelerating. When you let off the gas, the noise stops until you hit the gas again. Noise gets worse, the faster you go.

HI there,

This sound like diff bearings, normally wheel bearings will be noisy and stay noisy just up and down with road speed, a diff will be noisy but the pitch can change with throttle response and the load come on and off the pinion.
