HI I HAVE A 1989 FORD F250 351 WHEN FIRST STARTED IDLE FINE AFTER ABOUT TWO MIMUTES START ROUGH IDLE THEN DIES PULLED THE VAPOR CANISTER PURGE SOLENOID HOSE OUT OF INTAKE IT THEN IDLES OK COULD IT BE THE PURGE SOLENOID OR THE IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE OR SOMETHING ELSE THANKS FOR THE HELP

Any codes? Check engine light won't necessarily be set by some issues. Does it happen only on a cold start or after it's been sitting for a while?/ Idle air controls I think can be cleaned out, you could try that. Possibly the purge valve is stuck open or the circuit that controls it is. Check for codes
