85 Ford F-250 deisel won't stay running

My truck starts up fine then dies after a few seconds, then won't restart again for a few minutes. What could be wrong?

I believe that you are looking at a cam shaft position sensor. Very easy to replace and find but it is a pricey rascal. About $180 however, the part is available from International for about half price. I replaced mine once but the dealership could not find the IH part. Ended up biting the higher price but that did the trick.
