1993 Ford Taurus bELT WON'T B/C TURN BROKE AC

I HAVE A 93 FORD TAURUS 3.8 LITRE ENGINE WITH 150,000 MILES. MY A'C SEIZED UP AND NOW THE BELT WILL NOT TURN. CAN I BYPASS THE AC AND USE A SMALLER BELT? THE CAR RUNS GREAT AN DI HATE TO JUNK IT OVER AND AC PROBLEM. PLEASE HELP I AM A SINGLE MOM AND I NEED MY CAR

You can call the auto parts store and see if they have a belt for your car without air, you might have to take the air conditioning pump off. For the belt to fit.

I think there is a bypass pulley that can be installed in place of the a c compressor, not 100% on it though, reply above is good, the autoparts store should have something, I know there's a way around it

TaurusWheel. Thank YOU SOOOOOO MUCH! There is a bypass pulley for this car! Now I will have my car fixed as soon as the part comes in. Had to order it but it was only $30 and well worth every dime of it!
