1991 Ford F150 a/c seems to run when i use defrost

my a/c clicks on and off (blows cold air) when i am just trying to use derost

That is normal. When the defrost is activated, the a/c is also activated.

thanks for reply, i made a donation when i jioned...the a/c should run when above a certain outside temp i found out...but this one turns on all the time, even when it was only about 50 degrees the other morn.....do you know where it gets its temp from so i can replace that ..sensor????

The ait sensor will be in the air intake tube. Sometimes it will be behind the grill on the right side, behind or in the intake tube...
