Hello,

This issue can be due to an engine sensor or the engine is not getting enough fuel.
Typically if there is an issue with a sensor the check engine light will come on.
Is your check engine light illuminated?

To find out the fuel issue you will have to check the fuel pressure. You could have a clogged fuel filter that is restricting fuel flow or a weak pump or faulty pressure regulator.
Test the fuel pressure at the fuel rail. You will need to use a fuel pressure tester, which can be borrowed from your local auto parts store.
This vehicle should have 30-45 PSI of fuel pressure with the key on and engine off.

I have attached the fuel pressure test procedure as well as regulator, fuel pump and filter replacement instructions for your reference.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
