can a torc converter gone bad cause my transmission not to work? i have replaced the transmission with a gently used one several times and my o/d light blinks continuiously. it may wor for a little while maybe for a test drive, but then it won't budge.

The torque converter is a critical component in the drive line, it is the means of transferring the engine power to the transmission in a smooth and constant manner, if it has failed you will have no drive.
