Having problems with my escort, it will die when I try turning a corner after stopping. It sometimes will only go really slow starting out and then get up to speed but if I have to slow down and turn it will die. Have had a mechanic friend scan it and no codes. Have replace the fuel pump, fuel filter, throttle plate(junk yard), coil pack, plugs and wires. It idles fine, pressures were checked and were in range, but it still dies. Any suggestions?

It sounds like a problem with your steering, possibly the bearing in the power steering pump is shot, That would cause a major pull on your motors horse power and could cause it to stall in corners.
