I has the transmission fluid changed, and ever since the Van hesitates terribly when shifting gears and slips out of gear when driving it. Any suggestions as to correcting the problem?

Have you checked the electrical connections at the transmission? Also, have you checked with the shop that serviced your trans? Please advise.

I took it back to where the fluid was changed, and they said the hesitiating and sliiping occurred because there was about one quart of fluid short. Since ot was n't leaking, and they had added the lfuid, I asked how this could happen, and they said sometimes the tranny needs to "burp" and allow the fluid to flow into all places in it.

Well, I've rebuilt a lot of auto tranys over the years, and yes they do burp a little, but after you road test the vehicle, you overfill just a little to compensate. Anyway, I'm assuming everything is ok. Take care.
