Started truck and ran fine, Next day it starts and was driving for around 1-1.5 hours in normal traffic condition and temps were on the average of 102-105 degrees for the lower dessert in California. Truck just quit running. No stutters, shakes, rattles, clanks nothing. Crank it over and it turns over and once in awhile it would like to sound like trying to start, and nothing. Had it towed home, did my normal research online about possible causes. Well, started with basic #1, check for fuel. No fuel pressure, (replaced fuel filter which its an inline filter). Started truck and it fired up, but felt weak and sluggish, lack of power. Checked fuel pressure- was reading around 25-26psi. Replaced fuel pump and filter again. Truck will start when its cold(not running all day or night) and gets to about 105-120 on temp gauge then just stutters and dies. Crank it over and will not fire up. Let it sit hour hour and half and it sometimes will and sometimes not start up. Gets to about the same temp as before and just shuts off. Check plugs-okay, wires and test-okay, fuel pressure-okay, idle sensor, fuel regulator and pressure sensor-okay, map sensor-okay, temperature sensor-okay. I'm lost for words, I am going to pull fuel rails and injectors and check/clean if permitted so. Truck also has key-less entry with alarm system. Alarm is suppose to disable vehicle when activated by alarm. Puzzled. Thanks, Dan Kozenko

Hello, I'm Danny.

Just an FYI; if you have changed the fuel pump make sure you're getting proper pressure. Hopefully you didn't get a bad/weak/defective pump. The specification for your Tahoe is 55-62 p.S.I. With key on-engine off. Hope this helps. After checking/cleaning injectors let me know what you find. Thanks for using 2CarPros.
