Drove to work, okay.
Left work stalled leaving the lot. Unable to restart and was towed home.
Started but stalled out after four minutes. Unable to restart until two hours later.
OBD2 showed misfire in all four cylinders.
Replaced all spark plugs and coil packs.
No change in symptoms.
Called mobile mechanic.
He scanned it. Same codes. He thought it was starving for fuel.
Checked fuel pump working fine.
Fuel filter fine.
He thinks it may be a sensor somewhere, but he is not sure since no code is given by the OBD2.
He has now given up.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

Not yet. Still in my garage. However it will start and stay running with the MAP sensor unplugged. When I plug it in, it stalls. Thanks

Hey Steve,

It sounds like the MAF is shorted out, here is a guide that will show you what you are in for when replacing it.

Please let me know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Best, Ken

Thanks Ken. I thought that may be the case as well, but the 1.8 Turbo TSI doesn't even have a MAF sensor. I know, crazy right?

I can't find a tsb for that car like the one we had. Have you checked for air leaks on your inner cooler tubes etc?
