Recently the car began bucking while driving. RPM's would drop for a split second, then car would resume. Drives and idles well otherwise. Bucking is now becoming more frequent. Now, if car is left idling, car will shut off with thirty minutes; power (dash lights) remain on. Restarts easily. Replaced fuel pump, TPS and map sensor with no effect. Only code thrown is p1035, 02 sensor, which has been on for years. Thoughts?

Good morning,

I would start by cleaning the throttle body as that will cause the stalling issue.

How long since you did a tune up with plugs and filters?

Hi Roy, thanks for your fast answer. I cleaned the throttle body yesterday when I replaced the TPS sensor. I changed the plugs and filters about 30,000 ago. Tapped on the catalytic converter, no noise. Think an Idle air control valve could cause this problem?

Thanks Roy. I replaced the IACV. Runs better but RPM's still jumping. Going to have her towed in, I am tired of throwing parts at it. Appreciate your help. Bob
