Heading up a hill with A/C on low and was watching all the gauges carefully. I heard a slight thump and then the vehicle shut off. I popped the hood and did smell something odd and also noticed water coming out of the H port. I cannot turn it on now so I cannot test the A/C compressor or belts. Help?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros. Com.

Can you confirm what you mean by H port? Are you referring to the AC H block because there is no water in the system. If possible, can you upload a picture for me to see the component you are referring to?

Also, you mentioned that you cannot start the vehicle now. Is the starter engaging and engine not starting?

Thanks,

Joe

The H port is for the A/C and the cap is red. That is what baffling because the car never did overheat and as I think I said, that all the gauges were perfect. The engine tries to start but it does not. I checked the coolant levels and they are fine. I removed the radiator cap and I could see the coolant in there also, but do not know how much is there because of the bend on the inside.

Okay. If the vehicle is trying to start, lets start with that. Take a look through this link. It discusses the different reasons an engine will fail to start and how to check different components.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.
