Why does it shut off while driving
I have a 08 grand cherokee with a diesel engine while driving it will just shut off no fault codes and can be restarted immediately it may work fine for awhile then go through a series of this shuting off.

something in the fuel system is not working correctly.
get someone to do a fuel pressure test on it to verify the correct pressure. there are solenoids as well that need to be checked. a shop can view this info in a scan tool.
