I only get the transmission indicator lights and trip odometer on the dash. Blower works but not the radio. Engine will not turn over. No starter clicks or noise or fuel pump sounds. No indicator lights came on at or before the engine shut off. Any ideas?

Good morning,

The first thing I would do is to check the battery to be sure it has enough power.

Check it for 12.6 volts. Beyond that, the charging system needs to be checked as well.

Let us start there.

Okay, good. What about with the engine running? What is the voltage?

Engine will not run can’t get it to turn over.
Starter will not even click like there’s a low battery.
When you turn the key nothing happens.
I see the odometer reading and the indicator for the gears lights up and nothing else. The blower and windows work but no radio.

I attached a wiring diagram for you to view. Check the fuse listed for power on both sides. This fuse feeds the ignition switch which ties all the issues into this.

Thank you so much! I will try! Would this have caused the vehicle to suddenly shut off going down the road? We have taken great care of this car my seventeen old daughter drives this car. How do you check a timing belt?

You are welcome.

You would have to remove the front cover to inspect the belt.

The mileage for a timing belt varies. In your case, you have a timing chain. They last 150,000 that is the recommended time to replace it.

Thank you for the wiring diagram, I found out the fuse for ignition (#8 20amp) blown, replaced fuse and ran fine.
What would make this fuse to blow?

That's a good question. There are about 6 things the fuse controls plus all the wiring.

See if it blows again. If it does, then diagnostics will have to be done on the wiring and the components to find the reason.
