All of my buttons associated with my steering wheel, including my stereo, and rear wipers are not working? And when I drive for a little while it turns on again sometimes? Wt do you think it can be? It doesn't have a check engine light but it says trans. Fail safe prog. , does tht have anything to do with it?

Don't know what kind of car you have but when multiple systems don't work it is usually due to a broken clock spring. That is a wound-up ribbon cable in a plastic housing under the steering wheel. As the cable continues to break eventually the horn and cruise control will stop working and the Air Bag light will turn on.
