I have an ES, V6 that seems to not run in idle. The vehicle starts up just fine, but does not idle. It just shuts off instantly. I can give it gas to keep it running, but as soon as I let off the gas the rpm's just drop to 0. There does not seem to be any gas getting to it.

It depends where that water ended up but it is possible to do real severe damage that way. If it sucked water into the intake, remove all the spark plugs and crank the engine to dump the water out. If they engine does not crank, it may already be too late.
