This is an intermediate problem. When driving the engine seems to lose power.I have to pump the gas pedal to keep the engine from dieing. When I do this it will pop out the exhaust I can drive for months with no problem then out of the blue it happens again. I did replace the fuel relay and it had a tune up recently.

Have you checked fuel pump pressure? Also, have you checked the catalytic converter to see if it is plugging? Finally, has the check engine light ever come on?

What chip was replaced? Did it deal with the security system? Also, have you checked the basic things such as the cataylicit converter, fuel pump pressure.
