My transmission is leaking and when I come to a stop and when it downshifts it jerks.

Hi there, you will have to locate the leak, there are only a few places a serious leak can occur, pan gasket, drive shaft seals, torque converter seal. The transmission performance could be related to low oil levels, check and repair the leak first.
