My car recently just began to have problems. While i'm driving it started to began stuttering as though it's trying to catch on to something or may like it has air pockets in whatever it's trying to catch. When I accelerate on the gas the Rbm shifts 3 times in in 2 seconds then it goes back to the stuttering(jerking). Also when I stop the rbm decreases below 1, the cruise light comes on, then the car completely stops. What could this be?

Has the check engine light ever come on when it is acting up? If so, have the PCM (computer) scanned for any stored codes. This could be any of many sensors that run the engine doing this. Do you have access to any diagnostic equipment?(Fuel ressure gauge)
