Why does my car cut off when I press and release the gas paddle?

Why does my car pudder when its idle?

FYI: The car has been sitting for 5 months.

You'll need to clean the throttle body out, put a set of plugs and an air cleaner and see if it helps. The fuel is going to need a treatment and a new fuel filter. Sitting makes a care want to return to the earth from which it came, rust, moisture and the lack of use has a negative effect on almost everything. Drive it as much as possible after using a fuel additive. And Good luck.
